Today we started shopping for our place...the hubs has given me full control over decorating our place he says "lets see how good you really are" ..so I'm on a mission to prove to him I am good lol So like Carrie Bradshaw said in SATC2 "I've been cheating on fashion with furniture," I will definitely be giving up fashion for furniture for a while. lol

After much complaining the hubs has finally agreed to let me do his office chocolate brown and white,  a very clean and crisp looks (originally I wanted a light teal and brown but that wasn't gonna happen) so brown and white it is. I'm excited to do a nice clean look that hopefully he will love  and enjoy for some time ...unless we have to turn it into a nursery lol

July 1st it is!

As I mentioned in my last post July 1st was going to be the day we moved into a place no matter what....After much searching we finally found a place. Just yesterday the hubs and I signed our lease for a 2 bedroom condo in Fairfield that we are super excited about. It's a cute private condo with a eat in kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. We also have a small deck and cute back yard that we are excited to use to host our first BBQ this summer. So the packing, cleaning and shopping begins!

Forever 21

One of my favorite places to shop is Forever21...I always seem to have a shopping bag of over $300 worth of stuff and I constantly keep adding more things! I just cleared my chart 2 weeks ago lol here are a few things I am already wanting:

Two Months Married!

Wasn't it just one month like yesterday! Married life is great!  Since last month we have been on a major apartment search, we have looked at close to 20 places or it definitely feels like it lol. Out of what feels like 20 places we have liked about 2 places, which means no luck so far. We have decided on sticking with townhouse and condo apartments to give us more privacy. We were looking to be in a place by the 1st of June, which is nearly impossible now so our new move out date will be July 1st (it better be).

Also, within the last month the main topic in my house that keeps getting brought up is BABIES! At least once a week the topic of babies gets brought up by either  my mom, sister, aunt, grandma or other family member. The hubs and I are really excited about wanting a baby but its such a back and fourth topic right now ....so no babies just yet.  But it gives me butterflies just thinking about it I  know the hubs is going to be an amazing dad and together we hope to be amazing parents.

As for jobs, my job is going good still training ugh but its going... as for the hubs he is still looking for a better jobs but he's hanging in there until he can find something better.

So hopefully this month brings us good things and a lot of packing!!!!!

New Purchase Alert!

Okay, I've been wanting some Tory Burch flats for a while now ... So today I wanted to purchase some and I end up with the cutest shoes ever! Tory Burch of course but no flats lol. CLOGS. I originally wanted some Steve Madden clogs but they were peep toed but I wanted close toe to use during the Fall. I am super excited to wear them .... hmmmm now I have to find some nice things to wear them with! any suggestions?

Never Forgotten!

Today I want to take the time recognize a dear friend, a loved one and someone who was like a brother to me. Two years ago tomorrow May 22 my sisters boyfriend of 5 years passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident. So I want to take the time to say how much I him but I know he is in a better place watching down on me. It seems like just yesterday that I saw him run out my house and I yelled to him to be careful. 

I miss the days we all hung out laughing and joking. I am so glad that you were a part of my life and I got the chance to get close to you! I love you and miss very very much  not a day goes by that I don't see your picture in my room and think about you! You were an amazing person <3

Home Must Haves

My hubby and I are getting closer and closer to finding our first place, we have put in an application for a very cute and cozy condo in Fairfield, which we are very excited about... now its just a waiting game I really hope we can get the place but in the meantime we will continue searching. But you know what finding a place means....DECORATING

Although, we have almost everything we need for our place (because we had a place during college that we shared with roomates and my sister and all the stuff I got at my shower) there are still some things I think we could really use to help us get organized or that we would like to have in our place.


Storage, Storage, Storage

The hubs and I have a lot of things (of course he says its all mine) so we will need functional pieces that can be used as storage. Although, before we move we are hoping to do a HUGE cleaning so we don't take things we don't need.

Storage cubes and cube organizer (Target): I would like to use one in my closet to hold all my belts, handbags, flip flops and scarves.

I am dying to really unpack all the things we got...hopefully soon we can put everything to use when we get our place. Graduation

Today I am a proud daughter; I get to see my mother graduate at Sacred Heart University. It may have taken her many years to accomplish this but I am so happy and excited to see the women who has always taught me to never give up and do things to get ahead, have her named called last (they saved the best for last) amongst a class of hundreds.  It's been over Twenty years since my mother has worn a cap and gown but... I am sure today meant more then it did some Twenty years ago and I am so blessed to have witnessed it. Not many children get the chance to be on the opposite side cheering and saying how proud they are of their parent who is graduating from college. But I stand there today as she did this time last year for me... like a proud mommy whose baby MADE IT! I am excited to say this is not the end for her and she will be continuing her education and maybe the next time she walks across the stage she will have a grandchild who will be of attendance, who can one day say I saw my grandma graduate... although, they might not have any memory of it lol! So with that said, It's never to late to start because the later you start the more people you have that are happy to see you succeed such as your kids! So today I leave like a proud mommy to see MY MOMMY graduateeeeeeeeeeeee!! Congrats to the most amazing women I know! 

 

Baby Fever

My Husband and I have always wanted children and now that we are married babies have come up almost everyday!!!!!!! lol Only thing is we want to be sure that we can provide for our child and give our baby everything in the world like any other parent, and right now we just cant do it. Although, my mom says if you can provide for your self you find a way to provide for your kids. Which is true, so we shall wait and see! lol In the mean time I just happened to come across some  etsy shops that have the cutest baby things! Okay... okay... I guess I might of purposely searched baby stuff! So I will share  some ccccuutttteee baby stuff I've found that maybe some soon-to-be mommies/mommies out there might like! :)
